The Impact of Cluster Munitions on Ukrainian Artillery
A 105 millimeter artillery shell with high explosives will land at a point and explode. Anyone within 5 or 10 meters of that will be seriously injured or killed, but any further than that you're pretty safe. A cluster munition has hundreds, if not thousands, of these mini munitions which is the size of a cricket ball or a tennis ball. So what I expect the Ukrainian artillery will be able to do is saturate these trenches and defensive lines with cluster munitions,.
