mahmutise was born into a world where western colonialism and industrialization were clashing with an afghanistan of many different traditions cultures, and languages. He spoke turkish, arabic, french, ordu and the two main languages of afganistan, persian and pasto. If you're wondering why you spoke so many guages, it's because his family was exiled from af Afghanistan for decades. So he spent a lot of his young adult years travelling around the ottoman empire. But he held out hope that he would one day return home to afghanistan. And in 19 o two, when he was in his thirties, that day finally arrived
