Is There a Life for the Sake of Pure Survival or Notoriety?

In ancient greece, you had to have mere life right before you could have the possibility of pursuing the good life and so forth. In a world where necessity is itself a question for most people, why isn't that taken care of? And also, like, what is politics supposed to be about at this point? If it's not about the economic you know, what are we debating about? I guess the analysis of like tribalism, as everybody loves to say now, i think, in a way, has her a wish in the stupid culture war politics.
