Social media has poisoned the well for a lot of people. If not for face book and suckerberg, i don't think tek would have such a bad reputation in the united states. I think that was the one company that just took it too far in terms of removing friction and always thinking about themselves. It's really hard to argue that face book hasn't had some bad a effects on democracy. And there are all these other things that are making people nervous about them.
