The Restitution of Aboriginal Artifacts
Tasmanian Aboriginal people have been trying to reclaim the remains of their ancestors for 125 years. Aboriginals will be very offended if they were shown or filmed, let alone put on display. The National Museum in Lagos has several hundred Benin bronzes and mostly acquired by archaeologists in the museum's service in the colonial period. Of these, hardly any are exhibited in the museum.
