How to Answer a Negative Question in English

Negation is the bane of every high school language for an experience. You could say yes, meaning I did go, or you could say yay, meaning no, I didn't go. Not all languages will even use this yes and no. Chinese actually does have dedicated yes and no and boo, boo,. But they don't use them as much. They usually repeat the verb either positive or negative.
