Scientology and Disaster Capitalism

The church has a mixed relationship with that kind of persecution. On the one hand, it's very convenient and almost as you said necessary to have that persecution. But also when there is a natural disaster like a hurricane or an earthquake, Scientology rushes around to all of that people and says, give us money,. And the actual help that is provided is negligible. The only real money that gets spent is to fly some people to whatever the location is along with a video crew.
