The Impact of the Social Model on the Australian Model

The medical model and the social model are both extremes like being political left or politically right. They're often politically weak standpoints because they don't create a strong us versus them mentality that don't cast blame. The point of the social model is to be a political advocacy stance first and foremost. But has it had positive effects that may not have been achieved otherwise, including the invention of pluralist and interactionist models? Yes. It has also had many negative effects, including the fact that you can't base an economic system around the social model - Holy crap, that's a rant.
