i'm totally on board with the idea of reducing dependencies. But i think it's kind of like preventtive care. If you don't want to have these problems, maybe learn how to progress. No dependency is going to be perfectly tuned to your use case. The goal is to try to find something that does exactly what you want, and no more,. And then now you'll regret that you picked a minimalist at dependency.
