Oil Is a Good Indice of All Commodities
Oil did out perform inflation during the last high inflation period. But again, you can make a case that right now we are not nesarily as dependent on oil that we were at the time. It goes to show that the micro level, like studying the actual business, the management team, the fundamentals of the business is the only thing in your control and reliably predictable if your investment analysis is correct.
