The Disadvantages of Political Polarization

I think that we've always experienced political polarization in the United States. I'm no advocate of golden ageism to say that things were better in the past, and now they're especially terrible. The polarization makes it more difficult to have a conversation because you're already going into the conversation assuming what the other person believes about X, Y, and Z. It's just a thing that we're going to use to because we're used to soundbites and extremely partisan politics currently.
