Sustainable airline fuel could end up costing four times more, just spitball in here, than green hydrogen. When you burn a hydrocarbon at 35,000 feet, you produce CO2,. You produce aerosols and soot and other things that also have a global warming impact actually more significant than CO2. Airbus and Boeing will have to make a decision by the end of the 2020s on what new single-isle or narrow-body airplane is going to look like.
