But the ancient israelites thought no such thing. And so the laws, yes, are not about making god happy so that it will like redeem you. As we finish this movement in the scroll of exodus, we also finish our examination of the theme of the test: whether or not they are going to live out their calling bear the name of away successfully by becoming a kingdom of priests.
