How Rare Is It When Someone Really Wants to Hear Your Story?

We often think in our minds what we're going to say in response and how that relates to us. But very rarely does anyone really want to hear your whole story. What they really want is to hear enough to be able to respond with their own story. And i think as the presenter, we might want to think about taking a little less and maybe giving a little more.
