Children's Ears Are Just as Often Damaged as Adults Do

The National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety regulates how loud toys can be. Toys cannot produce a sound that reaches more than 85 decibels from 30 centimeters or about one foot. That's approximately the same noise level as a busy restaurant or a semi-truck passing by.
