Sprint intensity training consistently improves endurance capacity. It's a form of training that can be inserted for brief periods and still yield these significant physiological benefits. The vast majority of athletes we're talking to here, you likely have sprint workouts on your bike at some point during the week. But I would highly recommend countering this with low-intensity training or even moderate intensity training.
