The Far Right and the War in Ukraine
The West has made a conscious decision to be quiet about the far right in Ukraine, says Peter Bergen. The idea that they have very, very far right origins with straightforward new Nazi rhetoric and symbols is "moronic," he adds. There's really no realistic reason to believe in this story of Azov as an anti-Russian movement or even 'patriotic' group according to Bergen. And sympathetic people in the West or sympathetic journalists on the ground even who frankly, frightenize with these guys and sometimes women are turning a blind eye by covering up for them.
