The Importance of Lower Tariffs on Food in Europe
If you really wanted to help poverty in Africa, the best way to do it is basically to reduce tariffs for food. Lower tariffs to zero on food stuff will become a magnet for African farmers. By the way, that would also reduce inflation and reduce cost of living. UK has a lot of frackable natural gas under farmland. Maybe they can do that.
