Social Distance Reduces the Cognitive Distance Between People
Before, it was hard to be physically exposed to more than those in your city. But now you can just sit on your couch and see Dan Bliserian's yachts and his private jets. When the subject and model are both socially and physically proximate, then the relationship becomes one of internal mediation or rivalry. This social distance prevents metaphysical czar from contagiously spreading between subjects.
