The IBM Personal Computer - The Second Phase
In 1981, IBM released the first personal computer. This led to a lot of hackers tinkering with what they could do. Steve Capps created the first fuzzer program in 1983. In 1988, Professor Barton Miller coined the phrase fuzz test. iDefense ran racks of server farms dedicated to fuzzing software.
