Paul McCartney recalls meeting Frank Zappa in San Jose, California. "I'm playing guitar, Ray White's playing guitar, Frank's playing guitar," he says. The band was looking for a bassist and drummer to play with the likes of Steve Eisfone or Stow O'Brien. But they couldn't find anyone who could read music as well as their brothers.
