Mendell discovered that sometimes, you know, a penotypic state is brought about by one copy of the causaloleal and then two copies of the causallial. Doesn't change anything, doesn't add much as far as the observable penotype goes. So this is obviously a non adative or non linear relationship. As we step over from minus minus to minus plus, boom, we have the penotype. And then going over one more step, from minus plus to plus plus, the two penopatific states are the same. so that's not a straight line.
