The Importance of Researching Art
I really love Patricia Heistmith's talented Mr Ripley novels the whole series of the Ripley novels and there's a thread in that that's all about art forgery. I'm really fascinating and knowledgeable and done with the right sort of lightness of touch that it didn't feel like I'm writing a serious novel about art. Any writer especially writer fiction who can do that research and have that depth of knowledge but be sparing with it was very pleasurable for me to read.
