The Importance of Case Studies on a Personal Website

The overall visual design of the site is the first thing that I'm going to be kind of considering and judging. Maybe if you can make a big enough splash with the website itself, you don't need the case studies. So that's assuming that you're focused on jobs that require really high quality interface design. If you're a researcher, for example, a lot of this is obviously less relevant because people don't care so much about your visual design or they shouldn't.
