When we started retool, we ourselves are building internal tools to do a lot of things. We were starting a FinTech company at the time. There is no BI tool that allows you to actually write data back to the database. If you sort of look at the 30, 40, 50 BI tools, there are none of them support that. And so we had to create bespoke internal front-ends built in Closestrict for fun.
