Gideon is given a charge to cut down the altar of baal, which his father has. So he gets ten of his s and they go out at night and they knock it down. The people get up in the morning in the town and say, hey, who's come in and messed up our altar? And so they say to his father in verse 30, bring him out. We're going to kill him. His father, fortunately, stands up for him. On that day they called him g Gideon erubael because saying, let baal plead against him. That's the origin of the name eruba al Ezis presented tou verse 34. He calls people from as
