Patti Smith's memoirs are about literature and that they have high aims to be literature. The only people I think who managed to avoid that are like Patti Smith the way that she writes her memoirs side steps that because she writes them herself. There are a lot of good musician memoirs like Viv Albertine we love so great there are lots of really interesting writers but you're right there are definitely something I'm just throwing it out there to get the advance.
