The OCC's Role in the Bidding Universe

Big banks just have advantages up period in terms of resources and the ability to do, do diligence quickly. Another way to attack that would be who gets on the bidding list. The primary supervisor of a bank needs to approve it first before it can bid on a field bank. OCC could say, you know, we're not going to approve JP Morgan. We're worried about system stability from concentration. I think they'd call it a legal authority to do that.
