The Variables of Volume

Most bodybuilders do what's called a split routine where they do one muscle group one day and another muscle group another day. If you're using somewhat higher volumes that does not seem to work well, or it seems to be suboptimal. So with moderate volumes somewhat less than eight to 10 sets per muscle per week. Seems that one day a week is sufficient per muscle group.
