The Importance of Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting is essentially fasting for, I'd say over 36 hours. It's when you start getting into ketosis, meaning that your body is burning stored body fat instead of just glycogen or stored carbs and the food that you've previously been eating. The standard American eats every two to four hours. That means once you wake up and you break your fast, break fast breakfast, you're not actually burning any body fat until you stop eating. For people who are new to intermittent fasting, we'll be talking about what to do, what not to do on this show.
