Data Mesh Is the Theory of It All, but We Need to Technology Behind It to Make It Effective

The performance is a big issue in there. And I don't know if that's going to change because what I'm starting to see is companies come out with exceptions to a data mesh. There's virtualization software, but now you're adding complexity and less cost. That's not going to solve all the problems with performance in there. It will solve some of them, but you're going to have a lot of issues with trying to combine all that data. So that's a technology that's not there yet.
