The Evolution of Technology in Pop Music
When apple started their tv division Kim Rosenfeld who was running like the non-fiction stuff that came to me and he had seen a TED talk that I had done about sampling and he liked it. We decided because it was going to be six episodes was to break it up into different technologies that have changed how you know modern pop music and hip-hop have really evolved so we broke it up into reverb distortion synthesizers drum machine sampling and auto tune, which is an ongoing theme of the show. When they first came out people really didn't like them or they're afraid of it or somebody thought that this was going to ruin music but then someone geniously does it in the right way
