The Implications of Medicalized Racism in Communities of Color
"This definitely impacted some of the communities that the store owners were serving, but they were basically doing so at risk to their health," she says. "There's a whole other issue in communities of color that have dealt with medicalized racism and a distrustful of state policies." The project was also trying to understand what it was like for low-income or even middle-class immigrant communities where there was not technological literacy and digital fluency.
