Is Putin Annexed?
If there is annexation, that's what you imagine as the, in a way, I guess at that point, the positive outcome compared to the alternatives, right? Because alternatives include ongoing escalation, things spiral out of control. You get either a regional war or a nuclear exchange. If there's been annexation, so the kind of happy outcome is things just settle in more or less where they are and the fighting cools to a simmer - but it's better obviously than escalating towards nuclear annihilation.
