There will always be forces in the church and out of the church that say, Jesus is good, but he's not enough. They disturb the consciences of the laity and they leave people unsettled. I want to say as plainly and clearly as I can and ask you to believe this because it is the very word of the gospel. When we say the gospel takes away burdens, we don't mean it gives you an easy life. God demands our all. The same Jesus who says, my yoke is easy, my burden is light also says, take up your cross and follow me and die.
