The Catabatic Wind and the Avalanche

There's no real reason to believe anyone was injured before they left the campsite by an avalanche or anything like that. A phenomenon known as a Carmen Vortex could have been created by a catabatic wind. I don't know necessarily how fast these wind currents go, but maybe that is something that felt like an avalanche or felt, Hey, man, these are experienced hikers. We need to stay warm. Some of us need to go back to the campsite"
