The Key Word in Matthew's Gospel

Matthew and John were written for believers, for Christians already committed. Only they didn't use the term Christian in those days. It was a nickname given by some others to the church, but they usually called themselves disciples. Matthew is therefore, we might say, 'By far the best book of the New Testament to take through a new convert'
