There were some lawsuits related to the game. In 19 84, fred worth, who wrote various books on trivia, filed a lawsuit against the distributors of trivial pursuit for 300 million dollars. This was first settled in district court that ruled in favor of trivial pursuit. And that decision was appealed and went to the us Court of appeals in 19 87, and that was also upheld. They tried to take this to the supreme court, but in march 19 88, they declined to hear it. So that lawsuit was settled. Another lawsuit was brought up in 19 94 by david wall of nova scotia, who said he and a friend were picked up while hitch hiking by chris haney
