The History of Barcelona

By the late 1960s, 100,000 people were living in Chantitowns in Barcelona. That was 7% of the total population. In Samoros through specifically, by the mid 50s, it's estimated there were around 15,000 people living there along the beach. A lot of people came from Andalusia in the Sifas Bay. There was also a big Romani community there. You might have heard of Carmen Amiga, perhaps. She was one of the most famous flamenco dancers who made it all the way to the White House. She was born in Samoros and yeah, went on to star in Hollywood movies and the like.
