The Importance of Japanese Funk
I was working like 40 hour weeks. My Japanese used to be way better when I was there. That kind of kicked off the affinity, I guess, for different. There are a lot of musicians in particular and artists who will say that with this album, a big starting point for me was Japanese funk. They would tell me like, yo, you should read this book by Riono Sukei Akatagawa. Or you should watch this movie by Yasu Jiro Ozu. You should listen to this album by Yuki Hiro Takahashi.
