How to Train Your Backpack for a Hiking Event
The weight in your backpack is gradually heavier and heavier as you train. Your goal is to train with two times the weight. Double the weight you will use when you actually walk. Somewhere between five to seven kilos is a good weight to target for your backpack. You don't want to go heavier than seven kilograms. For this kind of event it's mostly your lower body, a little bit of your core also.
