The First Amendment Isn't Absolute
The state can regulate how doctors treat their patients. It's just normal regulation of the medical profession and it's not really about speech, he says. The US Supreme Court has been pretty clear that professional speech is speech like any other. And so this situation is just like that one. We are hopeful that the court will recognize that.
