Is There a Danger of Scaring People Off?
It feels to me like a double edged sword where on one hand, being able to watch a movie that depicts some aspect of collapse helps us to make it more real. And at the same time, we have to step back from that and recognize, like you said, that we can't paint map perception as a forecast of exactly what we're going to see. There may be aspects of that movie or that book that really hit close to you regarding collapse and what you think collapse might be like. But there are other people who will take that seriously, be like, oh my God, they'll freak out.
