Are We on the Verge of a Second Civil War?
CNN's John Sutter talks with Jamel O'Brien about the idea of a second civil war. He says it is possible that we will see low level civil violence, but not in terms of full-blown conflict. The U.S. has always been afflicted by intense division like this, he says. And so if you're ever going to be speculating about civil war, you have to actually ask, what actually distinguishes the kind of division that produces a civil war from justrat of the regular division and conflict and acrimony that is just the norm?
