It's really hard to test something that's based on some relatively new algorithm, because you don't have much data in the past. I think over time we may find that some of these newer algorithmic funds like AVUV may just be better than their simpler counterparts. But I'm happy to leave it right now at a place where I think they're both good and I really don't know which one is better. The main problem with multi-factor funds or multi-asset funds is that it makes it difficult to construct the rest of the portfolio.
