Ukraine's Long Term Security Guarantees
Jay Parini: Ukraine has already won the war in as much as Vladimir Putin. He would be able to turn this into a war of attrition that would outlast any Western support for Ukraine. The more Ukraine can secure in locking in long term support, we just know it's going to be long term. If we get to that stage where Ukraine is being offered long-lasting commitments, that will stave off some of the fears that Ukraine will eventually be whittled down.
