The Importance of Holding Environments in Grief
I think it's a really great opportunity to get kids up close and personal with the experience. A lot of times this comes up with a pet dying. And also not just with the death of the pet, but with their own feelings. We're somehow afraid that children should have full feelings. I think if there's a holding environment, if the parents are that holding environment, that the child can experience all those things without getting lost in it.
