Echocardiography findings in these patients can show tricuspid regurgitation. If the systolic pulmonary artery pressure is greater than 2 thirds of the systemic blood pressure with severe flattening or poster bowing of the interventricular septum, this patient can thus be then diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension.
