I see my work as a historian very much as contiguous with, you know, what I tried to do as an educator and as it were as an administrator. The book is about the kind of formation or a moment in the formation of the modern architectural profession. It spans this sort of extraordinary territory of design, of practice, of professionalism, of kind of discourse and representation. So it's a weird, and I'm not sure in every case entirely successful analysis of that world.
