Twitter has approximately 450 million monthly active users as of 2022, which is 396 million users more from 2010. That's still 10% of Facebook's active user base. So I don't think Twitter is really trying to eat or Facebook's trying to eat Twitter's launch. In the case of substack, though, they're just a much smaller player. They have a lot more to gain from trying to pull people into their ecosystem.
